This piattella looked absolutely phenomenal. The moment I cracked open the jar, my first thought was “Damn” It has such a unique appearance inside the jar, you’re met with a single cube of piattella, casually sitting there like a treasure. Its pale brownish hue and soft, sugary texture only added to its allure, making it stand out as something truly special.
Aroma
The aroma of this strain was intriguing it wasn’t overpowering, but you could definitely pick up on its distinct profile. Upon cracking open the jar, a fruity scent immediately greeted me, true to the StrawNana in the cross. The sweetness crept up my nose in the most inviting way, practically begging to be dabbed. While I didn’t get much of the Animal Face Kush Mints influence, I wasn’t disappointed. The fruity terps stole the show, delivering a bright and vibrant nose that I absolutely loved. It’s honestly a standout in its subtle complexity.
Taste
The taste of this piattella was exactly my kind of flavor—it mirrored the aroma perfectly. I’ve dabbed this strain both hot and low, and each time, the StrawNana profile came through beautifully. The sweet strawberry-banana combo really stands out, especially at low temps, where the flavors become even more pronounced and refined. I also rolled a hash hole with this piattella and some Zlushi from @exotiks916 and the result was nothing short of amazing. When the joint hit the piattella, it completely enhanced the flower, amplifying those luscious strawberry terps to another level. It was easily one of the best-tasting joints I’ve ever had a true highlight of the experience.
Overall
This was my first time trying Uncle Farms Piattella, which I picked up at the 2024 Puffcon from Astor Club NYC , and it absolutely lived up to the hype. If you didn’t know, Piattella is plant-fresh frozen bubble hash cured without heat or air to slow oxidation, resulting in a unique, sliceable texture akin to bread. Created by Uncle Farms and introduced at the 2020 Ego Clash. Many people love Piattella as their go-to because of its smooth, cold-cure-like texture, which is perfect for anyone who prefers a refined experience over sandy concentrates and it delivers the same, if not better, flavor. The effects were just as impressive, leaving me relaxed and chill—likely thanks to the Animal Face x Kush Mints mix, which added a nice kick. As I mentioned I even rolled a hash hole with the Piattella using Zlushi by Exotiks916 , one of my favorites for its sweet, fruity terps. The combination was flawless, making it one of the best-tasting joints I’ve had in a while. Skipping the dab and opting for putting it in a doink was definitely the right call; it was far more enjoyable than dabbing, in my opinion.
