Appearance

This Mangosteen has a really nice look with a pearlescent, near-white color that I always like when it comes to the color. The consistency was spot on too with a wet, stable, and super easy to scoop texture. The jar features the classic @wizardrozin design with no wrap-around sticker, just a top label with the signature wizard graphic and a bottom sticker with the product info. It’s simple, minimal, and lets the quality speak for itself, which I’m a fan of. Although the lack of a wrap around seal does mean anyone could technically pop it open, so it really comes down to trusting whoever you're getting it from.

Aroma

The nose on this was definitely interesting in a good way. When I cracked open the jar it opened with a dank, fruity aroma layered with some subtle raunchy notes that caught me off guard. At first, I wasn’t sure how I felt about it, but the more I went back to it, the more it started to grow on me. It’s one of those scents that keeps evolving the longer you sit with it.

Taste

The flavor on this was honestly pretty unique, especially considering I’ve never had the actual mangosteen fruit to compare it to. I tried to track one down locally but came up empty. From what I read, mangosteen is supposed to taste sweet, tangy, and floral. When dabbing this jar all I got was a unique dank, fruity, and mouth coating inhale with a slightly earthy backend. That said, it’s not the kind of terp profile I’d keep in my regular rotation, the overall quality and smoothness of the experience though gave me a better appreciation for the terp profile.

Overall

I always like grabbing Wizard Rozin when I can. You really can’t go wrong. The rosin quality is always top tier. That said, in my opinion, the price point doesn’t always feel justified, especially in certain states where I’ve heard it can get ridiculously high. If you’re familiar with his jars, you know he typically runs about six strains consistently, and they’re all dialed in. This mangosteen was a new strain I hadn’t seen from him before so it caught my attention, which is what really made me grab it. I feel like there are other brands out there offering just as good if not better jars for a more reasonable ticket. No doubt, Wizard Rozin always does his thing and I’d absolutely recommend it to others. It's great stuff but I’m just not sure I can fully get behind the price.
