The looks on this rosin was nice with a nice pale beige color, the consistency was interesting, it had a lot of terp bubbles and a wet not gooey but almost gooey text when scooping which I don’t mind. The jar design was cool with the iconic Gasman Extracts logo, one of my personal favorites with the “Gasman” character spewing rosin as the name. This particular jar had bananas on the top label too and the wrap around had the jar information and banana bunches all over it.
Aroma
The smell on it is very interesting and not what I expected initially, when I cracked it open I got a sweet slight banana smell that had a strong deep earthy kush terps which some maybe like I wasn’t the biggest fan but the sweet banana terps and earthy muskyness complemented each other well so it smelled real nice actually
Taste
The taste was alright, it had a decent terp profile, but not quite the Banana OG I’m used to in rosin, which usually has that super sweet, candied banana flavor I love. This one had a more balanced profile. The sweeter notes came through on the front end, but the dank, earthy OG terps hit hard on the back end and kind of took over the banana flavor. Still, it was cool to see it stay true to its name in that way but I definitely like the ones that aren’t true to its name with the more candy profile.
Overall
This Banana OG was another solid jar and it definitely stayed true to its name, which I always appreciate. It had that banana taste with that OG layered in which was real nice. I had the Banana Tree before this, and both were the same in terms of hash quality, which I found to be really nice. There was just a slight bit of background noise, but nothing worth complaining about.In my opinion, the Banana Tree was tastier than the Banana OG, it leaned more toward sweet citrus, which is more my type of profile, so I’m a bit biased there. The high on this one was great though pretty potent. I wouldn’t say it puts you to sleep, but it definitely gets you in a deeply relaxed state.Mad love to @gasman and Hashamillion for putting this jar together. If you’re into a true-to-name Banana OG, I’d definitely recommend giving this one a try.
