The appearance of this one was really nice. When I cracked it open, it revealed a beautiful off white beige color that looked amazing. It closely resembled the previous jar from them I tried, showing consistency in the brand’s quality. The texture was also impressive with a nice wet, terpy and was easy to scoop, which I always appreciate.
The jar design was cool and creative. The top had a sticker that read “I Love Kush,” while the wraparound label featured a vibrant mix of red, pink, and orange with various fruit illustrations. The name of the product was displayed in the center, along with some additional product information.
Aroma
The nose on this jar was not bad at all. When you crack it open and go in for a smell, you're met with a mix of light, sweet, fruity, and dank notes with subtle traces of a floral, perfume like aroma. It wasn’t a loud or standout scent for me personally but to be clear, it didn’t smell bad at all. If you like those terps you would more than likely really enjoy the smell.
Taste
The taste on this jar will probably appeal to certain people, but it just wasn’t for me. When dabbed, I got a light, sweet, slightly fruity flavor with dank, floral notes.Then on the backend, the floral and dank elements came through a bit stronger, which was nice.
It wasn’t a terp profile that really stood out to me and had me wanting to reach for the jar again, but if that flavor combo is your thing, you’d likely enjoy it. Like most of the jars I’ve tried from this brand recently, it was very clean with no background harshness, which I always appreciate.
Overall
This was a solid jar from I Love Kush and my third time trying something from them. Out of the three, this was probably my least favorite not because of the quality which was great, but simply because the terp profile wasn’t quite for me.
The main reason I picked this one up was that I had never tried the strain Shishkacandy, so it definitely caught my attention. In terms of presentation, texture, and cleanliness, the jar checked all the boxes. It just came down to personal preference on the flavor which wasn't for me.
The high was strong without being overly potent. It was great for winding down and getting ready for bed. Definitely a nighttime strain that mellows you out without knocking you out.
My favorite aspects of this jar were definitely the looks and the high. Overall, it was a really good jar, just not one that had a terp profile compelling enough to make me want to reach for it again. It usually ended up being the last one I dabbed from whatever jars I had open at the time. That said, if you’re into the terp profile I described earlier, I think you'd rate this even higher overall and enjoy it more than I did. Regardless, it was still a high quality jar of hash that you wouldn't be mad about grabbing.
