Appearance
The look of this jar was nice. The fresh press had a translucent appearance with a pale yellow tint. It wasn’t completely clear, which is why I wouldn’t call it transparent, but you could easily read the bottom of the jar through it, so it was definitely pretty clear. The texture was typical of most fresh presses with that gooey, stringy mess when scooping a dab, which can be annoying for some. I’ll admit I’m not the biggest fan of that texture either. Once the jar cured up, it started to have a nice light yellow color with a wet, appealing look. The texture was smooth and easy to scoop but slightly dry.
The jar design was simple but clean. The lid featured the iconic Feel Good logo with a smiley face surrounded by “Feel Good Los Angeles” in a yellow, black, and grey colorway. The bottom was simple as well, with just the strain name and info in that same yellow and black color scheme.
Aroma
The nose on this one is pretty interesting, it’s not a loud smelling jar, which isn’t too surprising since most fresh presses tend to open up more after curing in my opinion. When I first cracked it open and took a whiff, it had a faint sweet, earthy pine scent that wasn’t very loud but smelled good. Once it cured up and I gave it a stir, the profile really came alive, bringing out those same sweet, earthy, and slightly creamy pine notes just more pronounced and noticeably louder.
Taste
The taste on this one in fresh press was really nice, the terps came through nice, which I don’t usually get from fresh press. It had a earthy, slightly sweet lemon pine flavor that wasn't very loud on the palate but tasted good.
In cold cure, the flavor really shined like it always does in my opinion. It leaned more to the sweeter side with light lemon pine notes upfront and a soft slightly creamy earthiness on the finish. It was also a rig-stainer and mouth-coater for sure, if you’re dabbing something sweet and switch to this, you’ll instantly notice the change when you dry hit your rig.
Overall
This was a solid jar of fresh press from Feel Good and Mendoja Farms. This was my first time trying any fresh press from Feel Good and it didn't disappoint. I like to review fresh press in two ways, first in fresh press and then again after when it’s cured up, as you can see in the review picture. I also include a dab video of both, but I got too high and carried away and completely forgot to record the cold cure shot so none for this one.
I don’t typically go for fresh press, but after seeing how many options Feel Good had at Puffcon and hearing my homie recommend them, I had to grab some. Also there's really no better place to get perfectly stored fresh press than straight from the source. This jar checked every box, it had clean looks, smelled and tasted great, and dabbed smooth.
Feel Good and Mendoja Farms definitely did a solid job with this one, I wouldn’t grab this specific jar again just because the terp profile wasn’t really my go to, but I still enjoyed it nonetheless. I’d 100% grab some other fresh press jars from Feel Good in the future though
