Appearance
The rosin had a nice appearance, opening with a light beige color with a slight tan tint. The jar itself was visually clean with no contaminants visible to the naked eye or even under my phones macro lens, which is always a good sign. It also had a very wet, terpy look with multiple visible terp bubbles throughout the jar. When I dipped my tool in, it had a wet texture that stayed on the dab tool and held its stability. The consistency overall was really solid and the looks were great on this one.
The jar art was simple and kept the classic Pure Organics aesthetic with just the colors changing to light blue and yellow. There was also a top sticker showing the collab in their signature font along with a wraparound label containing the jar’s information.
Aroma
The smell on this jar was alright but it was a bit of a let down to be honest, with a name like 4z and knowing the cross, I expected a full zkittlez overload. Instead, the smell wasn’t loud at all. It came through as a dull and faint zkittlez terp that you really have to search for to pick up. If I had smelled the jar before grabbing it, I probably would have gone with another option from the drop, but sometimes that’s just how it goes. The smell wasn’t bad, just not something that impressed me.
Taste
The taste on this jar matched the nose, and the terps just didn’t come through the way I expected. I thought i’d be met with a loud, mouthcoating, funky zkittlez profile, but instead it was more of a dull, faint zkittlez with that creamy berry citrus vibe and a slight floral note. The flavor just didn't come through you could barely taste, I even talked with someone who has had 4z from another grower or hashmaker to see if maybe the terp profile was just naturally like this, but they said they enjoyed their jar and got a mouthcoating zkittlez vibe from it so i dont think that was the case. The jar was clean though, which I always appreciate, no background noise or harshness at all.
Overall
As you know, this was a collab between Pure Organics and Humble Greenery, and it was my first time trying anything from Humble Greenery. The jar was okay, not bad at all, but it wasn’t one I’d say was good or impressed me. The main reason I decided to grab this one was because I’ve never tried 4z before, and with a name like “4z” I figured I couldn’t go wrong, but sadly I wasn’t too impressed.
I wouldn’t say this jar checked all the boxes. The looks and effects were not bad, but the smell and taste just didn’t deliver. It dabbed smooth, burned on the nice nice even at those higher temps and the high wasn’t bad, but the flavor simply wasn’t there, very faint with barely any terps coming through. I talked with Pure Organics, and he mentioned he was later informed by Humble Greenery that the plant had some health issues, which may have caused the terp profile to be finicky. I really appreciate Pure Organics keeping it real because many wouldn’t share that kind of information.
The jar wasn’t a bad jar by any means, but it wasn’t a good one either. It just didn’t have much terps on it and that was the main critique. Everything else was solid, but at the end of the day when dabbing you want to taste terps, and this one just didn’t have much. That played a big role in the score. With that said, I wouldn’t get this jar again and it was a bit of a letdown. I’d probably say it’s been my least favorite jar from Pure Organics so far. The hash quality was there, but the flavor fell short. Nonetheless, I’m sure the other jars from this drop were fire and this one was simply a miss. Shoutout to Pure Organics and Humble Greenery, it’s never easy doing any of this and I’m always appreciative of the work that goes into these drops.
