Appearance
The papaya rosin looked great right out of the jar, opening up to a shiny, wet, terpy appearance with an off white color. When I dipped my tool in, the rosin had exactly the texture I was hoping for, soft, wet, and easy to work with. Visually it was very clean, with no contaminants visible to the naked eye or even under my phone’s macro lens.
The jar art was also well done. The black and white classic color scheme stood out nicely. The top sticker featured a design surrounded by trichome heads, with the Head That Roll logo centered in the middle. The wraparound label continued the trichome head theme while also including all the jar’s information.
Aroma
The nose on this jar was very nice as soon as I opened it, a decently loud aroma filled the air with a tropical, sweet, ripe fruit funk that immediately hit my nose. The scent was bold, with that classic papaya terp profile that is easy to identify and hard to mistake for anything else.
Taste
The taste on this translated nice from the nose with a nice mouthcoating sweet tropical fruity inhale with some slight creamy notes followed by some funky fruit notes. The taste was really good and captured the strain papaya well. It wasn’t a mind blowing papaya but it was definitely a good one and it gave off that classic papaya terp profile that is easy to identify and hard to mistake for anything else which I liked.
Overall
This was a solid jar of hash from Heads That Roll and Flavuh Flav Farms. It was my first time trying anything from Flavuh Flav Farms, and I was pleased with how the jar was. The main reason I picked up this jar was the price point which was very affordable compared to what I usually grab and also I was looking for a straight papaya. Heads That Roll has never let me down, so trying the collab felt like an easy choice.
This jar checked all the boxes. The looks, smell, taste, and effects were all on point. It dabbed smoothly, burned clean on the nail, and delivered a relaxing, enjoyable high. The only minor drawback was a very slight background noise that made it a touch harsh, but it was nothing worth truly complaining about.
I often tell people that Papaya is a great strain for introducing someone to hash. The fruity, sweet flavor and aroma are very approachable, and I think most first-time hash smokers would enjoy this profile more than a gassy or earthy kush heavy one. That said, I would definitely grab this hash again especially at the price point, it is much more affordable than most of what I usually pick up while still maintaining quality. Shoutout to Heads That Roll and Flavuh Flav Farms for putting out a solid papaya.
