Appearance
The appearance on this one was solid. It opened to a yellow gold color with a dough like consistency. When I scooped it with my dab tool, it had an in between wet and dry texture that leaned more on the dry side, though it improved slightly after a thorough whip. The jar was clean to the naked eye with no visible contaminants, and remained the same under a macro lens as well.
The jar design was also a nice touch. It came in a real black Miron jar with an m stamped on the bottom and a bright red colorway. The top sticker featured the iconic Feel Good smiley face, and the wraparound label displayed the name Rambutan in bold lettering, followed by the jar information.
Aroma
The nose on this jar was nice it gave off a sweet, juicy candy like aroma with a subtle tropical fruit touch that came together nicely. The profile was not overly loud or overpowering, but it was still noticeable and nice. It was more of a smooth and sweet aroma rather than something really loud .
Taste
The taste on this jar was decent overall. On the front end, I picked up a light, juicy sweetness with a mild fruity note that came through nicely at first. As I continued, the flavor gradually mellowed out and did not fully carry through to the end. It also dabbed clean with no background noise and burned fairly well on the nail. While the flavor did not necessarily stand out or impress me, it was still enjoyable and far from bad.
Overall
This was a solid jar from Feel Good and Ganjah Guru. I will say it was not my favorite thing I have tried from either of them, but it was not bad by any means. It just did not stand out as anything special to me personally. I spoke with Ganjah Guru after grabbing the jar and he mentioned that the plant was an F2, washed from two phenos, and came from a single plant, making this a very limited batch. The main reason I decided to grab this one was because I had not had Rambutan in quite some time so I said why not.
For those unfamiliar with Feel Good, they are a well known hash brand out of California that primarily focuses on collaborations with different growers, like this one grown by Ganjah Guru. They are also known for dropping a wide variety of flavors per release, often well over 20, which sets them apart from many brands that typically release closer to six or so. As for Ganjah Guru, he is a California based grower and hashmaker who has been doing this for a while now and even placed third at Ego Clash in 2022.
The jar checked most of the boxes. The smell, appearance, and taste were all solid, but the flavor did not stand out to me compared to other Rambutans I have tried. That said, it dabbed clean with no harshness or background noise. The effects were enjoyable, delivering a deep body high paired with a noticeable head high that made it a pleasant experience overall.
While this was a good jar, it did not quite wow me the way I expected it to. For that reason, I probably would not grab it again, but I would still recommend it to others since it was far from bad. I tend to be pretty picky, and I have had other rambutan jars that were more enjoyable, which is why this one did not fully hit the mark for me. Shoutout to Feel Good and Ganjah Guru regardless, and I am looking forward to seeing what they put out next.
