Appearance

The look of this one was really nice. It opened up to a pale, creamy off white color with a slight ivory butter tone. The texture was great, wet but not too wet, with a stable consistency that was easy to scoop and stayed on the tool without dripping. The jar also clean to the naked eye with no contaminants, it also remained clean under my phones macro lens.

The jar design was also well done. It came in a solid black Miron jar with a stamp on the bottom. The caramel colorway fit the name perfectly. The top sticker featured the Tsunami Solventless logo, which consisted of one large tsunami wave. The wraparound label was a nice touch as well, featuring multiple waves along with the jar name and details in a clean cursive style font.

Aroma

The nose on this jar was nice and fairly loud, opening with a mild, subtle sweetness followed by strong earthy gas undertones. The longer you sit with it, the better the nose gets, continuing to open up and bring out those sweet notes a bit more, those sweet notes aren’t much of a candy caramel or butterscotch vibe to me personally but more of a subtle sweet smell.

Taste

The taste on this jar was great, and while it wasn’t personally my cup of tea, the flavor itself was still very good and I can see why a lot of people enjoy. It delivered a mouthcoating, semi sweet creamy profile with earthy notes, and some strong gas notes that blend together well. I was expecting more of a really sweet caramel flavor, but instead it leaned more toward a subtle sweetness rather than a candy caramel. I would best describe it as a dessert terp with an earthy fuel backbone that’s unique.

Overall

This was my first time trying Tsunami Solventless, and I’ll say I was definitely impressed. I decided to grab this jar because I’d been wanting to try Tsunami Solventless for a while, and the opportunity came up right before I left the US. Shoutout to the homie for letting me snag this from his headstash before I left.

If you don’t know much about Tsunami Solventless, he’s a California based breeder and grower known for putting out some fire flavors. He’s released seeds and cuts like Wavez, Caribbean Cream, and other standouts, with his staple strain being Animal Tsunami, a cross between Animal Cookies x Caramel Tsunami that also serves as the backbone for much of the strains bred by him. Melt Plex is the brand’s in house hashmaker, responsible for this jar and other releases under the brands name. He’s also collaborated in the past with reputable hash brands like Masterball Melts, Feel Good, and Splash Solventless, all of which I’ve heard nothing but good things about.

This jar checked all the boxes, no doubt about it. The appearance, nose, and flavor were all solid, nothing to complain about. The high was solid too, it had a nice punch without completely taking you out, delivering a relaxing body high instead. It also dabbed super smooth with no harshness and burned clean on my nail.

This was a good jar and I enjoyed it. While the flavor was really well done, it just wasn’t personally my favorite terp profile but I can see why a lot of people enjoy it. For that reason, I probably wouldn’t double back on this jar not because it was bad by any means, but simply because the flavor wasn’t really my cup of tea. That said, I’m definitely looking forward to trying more from Tsunami Solventless as the quality was great.
