The looks on this jar wasn’t bad it’s very hard to see how the rosin actually looks as I took the picture a bit too early and didn’t wait for it to get to room temp out the fridge which is a mistake completly on me I would’ve took it again but scooped a glob right after taking it. Anyways when it did come down to temp though it had a decent look to it with a light tan butter color almost with a texture that was kinda dry initially but after a whip it became more terpy and easier to work with but overall was a bit dry but far from a crumble dryness. I find that most of his cold cures tend to have this kind of consistency and not many are very wet and terpy compared to others.
The jar design was simple with the classic jar Chris always uses. The top sticker stood out with a matrix style green code background that included the The Real Cannabis Chris logo and the Ganjah Guru. The bottom sticker showed a picture of gummy bears which was fitting for the name “Highribo” which I’m assuming is a play on Haribo. It also listed the name and micron information. One really cool detail about the top sticker is that some of the green Matrix code actually has meaning. If you look closely, you’ll notice it’s written in Japanese. I was able to translate some of it with the help of a friend and some of the code said “Don’t Worry, Be Happy” and “Real Cannabis Chris x Ganjah Guru” and I’m sure there’s even more hidden throughout.
Aroma
The nose on this jar was right up my alley. When I was smelling all the jars at the Ganjah Guru booth at puffcon, I instantly knew this one was coming home with me. It’s got a very loud sweet, robust candy front end with a juicy pineapple cherry candy terp that just smells amazing. It also has that familiar “Chris” smell I usually pick up in most of his jars like I said before. It doesn't bother me at all and if you’ve had a few from him, you know exactly what I’m talking about.
Taste
The taste on the Highribo was really enjoyable and translated great from nose to flavor. On the inhale, I get a sweet, rich candy gummy bear taste, hence the name “Highribo,” which I’m pretty sure is a play on the gummy bear brand Haribo. The flavor leans toward a robust pineapple candy, which I really like. On the backend, there are some very light floral notes that linger at the finish which give it some complexity.
There’s no background noise on this jar too making it dab clean, smooth, and enjoyable. The jar just has a sweet and unique profile, and if you’re into loud candy terps, this is definitely one to keep an eye out for.
Overall
This jar was trally nice, especially if you’re into those loud sweet candy terp profiles like me. With the collab being The Real Cannabis Chris and Ganjah Guru I knew it was gonna be a solid one.
Everything about this one hit. The looks, smell, taste, and high were all on point. It was smooth and clean, and the high was nice and balanced without being too heavy. The top sticker was also a nice touch with the hidden Japanese messages.
Sticky Buds Genetics, the breeder behind this cross, reached out to me on Instagram and mentioned that the original cut gave off pineapple candy terps , which makes perfect sense after trying it. He also took first place with Highribo in the Organic Cup’s traditional hash category, which just proves how special this terp profile is.
Overall, this was a great first collab between The Real Cannabis Chris and Ganjah Guru. I’d 100% grab this jar again if I came across it, but not one I’d go out of my way for. If you love sweet candy terps, this one’s for sure worth the pickup
