Appearance

The look on this jar was solid. When I cracked it open the rosin had a clean pale beige almost white color with a very wet and terpy shine. When I dipped my tool in the consistency was great with an easy to scoop wet terpy texture.

The jar design was cool too. The top sticker reads “I Love Kush” on an orange and yellow background and the wraparound follows the same color scheme. It also has sliced mangos and what looks like papayas which I’m not sure why but it could just be a graphic design error, it also includes the jar name and info.

Aroma

The nose on this one was really nice. It opened with a rich, ripe mango aroma right away, followed by hints of  candy and sour citrus probably coming from the mango starburst but it smells great. The longer you sit with it, a light earthy note starts to come through, adding a little depth. It’s an enjoyable smell with a mostly straight mango citrus candy forward profile.

Taste

The taste on this one was interesting. I feel like the terps were more enjoyable at lower temps and don’t handle heat very well at all. When I dabbed it at low temps (500°F to 525°F), it had a great terp profile with a light, sweet fresh mango flavor with some candy citrus in there too that was really nice on the front end, but the finish had some strange floral notes that lingered on the palate. I personally didn’t enjoy the aftertaste but some people might enjoy that strange floral finish.

At hotter temps (540°F to 580°F), those earthy floral notes became even more dominant, and the sweet mango notes didn’t shine the way it did at lower temps. It also became more harsh on the throat making me cough more than usual. It was interesting to see how dramatically the flavor shifted in different temps.

The terps translate well to the nose at lower temps, but once you dab at those higher temps they tend to hide and become a bit harsh. I’d definitely recommend keeping this one low temp.

Overall

This wasn’t a bad jar from I Love  Kush at all but it’s not one I truly enjoyed like some of his other work. The jar checked most of the boxes for me. The looks, the smell, and the high were all good but the taste is where it fell short. It didn’t handle heat well and came off a bit harsh at hotter temps. At lower temps it was tasty and enjoyable but most people dab hotter (around 550°F - 600°F) so they might find it a bit harsh. I’m not sure if this has anything to do with the micron they washed through because this time it was washed through 120u and not 149u like I usually see them running just something I noticed.

The high itself was great. It hit nicely and had good potency but it was still mellow enough that I could enjoy it with my coffee and on walks. It wasn’t a full knockout, just a smooth pleasant high.

Overall it wasn’t a bad jar, but I wasn’t as impressed with it compared to others I’ve had from them like Bazooka and W. That might just be me being picky but the taste category is a big deal for me and this one didn’t do it for me, especially at higher temps. I probably wouldn’t grab this again because of that but it is still a solid jar of hash none the less.
