Appearance
This jar had a solid visual appeal and opened to a nice light ivory color with tan highlight to it with a wet terpy look to it. The rosin also had a clean look with no visible contaminants to the naked eye or under my phones macro lens. The texture was also really nice and was what I imagined based off looks with a thick wet terpy easy to scoop consistency that I enjoyed. The rosin also burned clean on the nail after dabbing with no residue left or burnt look on nail after.
The jar packaging was cool and eye-catching with sour rings candy all over the jar. The top sticker had the West Coast Alchemy logo with the letters wca placed on top of each other in an orange and red color with sour rings candy in the background. The wraparound had sour rings candy all over too and included the jars name “Sour Rings” in a cool orange bubble font and it also included other details on the jar such as the micron range, gram weight and collab brand. The jar used was also a real authentic miron jar with the “m” stamped on the bottom which preserves hash better than the fake Chinese ones which is always a plus.
Aroma
The nose on this jar was nice, it had a sweet fruity slightly sour smell. The sour smell wasn’t very strong but more of a faint sour smell. It’s not a very loud jar but it has a nice terp profile.
Taste
The taste was nice on this and was rather similar to the smell but different. on the inhale you get a faint sour taste like a lime but not anywhere near as bitter sour more faint then you get some sweet airy fruit notes that takeover and kill the sour taste quick and stays like that for the rest of the dab.
Overall
This was a solid jar from West Coast Alchemy and Willys Garden and Greenhouse. The reason I decided to grab this one is because I was just drawn to this jar out of the other options although my boys were telling me to go with the Lemonbucha which they thought was solid.
If you don’t know West Coast Alchemy they are a well known hash brand out of California that does many collaborations with different growers, like this one grown by Willys Garden and Greenhouse . They are also known for dropping a wide variety of flavors per drop like Feel Good, often well over 15, which sets them apart from many brands that typically release around six or so. As for Willys Garden and Greenhouse, I don’t know too much on the brand but he's a California based grower who has been growing for over 10 years.
The jar also checked all the boxes. The looks, smell, taste and high were all solid with no complaints but it was not a jar that wowed me or had me wanting another jar. The high was enjoyable with pretty potent effects as it was taking me out sometimes but that could be due to me taking a tolerance break before rating this jar so that could be why.
This was a solid jar overall from West Coast Alchemy but it didn’t impress me as much as some of the previous jars I’ve had from the brand in the past. I probably wouldn’t grab this jar again for that reason only but still a solid jar of hash just not one that's calling me back.Shoutout to West Coast Alchemy and Willys Garden and Greenhouse!
