Appearance

The looks on this jar was alright. It opened to a beige color with a slight orange/gold tint with a pretty dry texture that needed to be whipped around to get that nice wet texture as shown in the review picture. The initial dry texture I'm sure is due to the jar that's being used. After whipping it had a nice wet terpy consistency that was easy to scoop onto my tool but it did dry out again towards the end, again likely due to the jar used. It also burned decently clean on the nail with minimal residue and no burnt look.

The rosin came in one of those clear jars with the stainless steel lid, these jars tend to be horrible when storing cold cure making the hash almost dry out every single time. I would much rather have enjoyed this more if it were in an authentic miron jar with the “m” on the bottom.  The jar design I will say was pretty cool, it had two stickers, a top and bottom one. The top sticker had the Trichome Tortoise logo in the middle with a colorful puzzle piece border with a black and white checkerboard center which was a cool look and was a nod to autism awareness which was really cool. The bottom sticker was also interesting; it had a fruit background with the jar name “Madd Peaches” in the center in a cool wavy font in purple and orange along with other information around the edges like soil grown, micron range, pull and other details.

Aroma

The nose on this jar is really nice and loud. As soon as I crack the jar I get an intense burst of sweet, juicy tropical peach and tangy citrus that fills the air. It smells really nice and give me peach lemonade kind of vibes.

Taste

The taste translates really well from the nose, with a mouth-coating sweet, citrus, tangy peach flavor that gives off mimosa like terps but different. On the front end, you get that juicy, ripe peach sweetness, and as it settles in, the back end brings out a bold mimosa kind of profile with a strong, tangy citrus finish. The flavor lingers nicely on the palate after each dab, and smokes smooth and clean, which I really liked.

Overall

This was a nice jar from Trichome Tortoise like I find most of his work to be. The reason I decided to get this is because I love some good peach terps, especially Moroccan Peaches, so I figured with the Madd Fruit cross it should be good and that it was.

This jar pretty much checked all the boxes, with the smell, taste, and effects all being good and nothing to really complain about. However, as i mentioned the only little downside for me was the rosin tending to dry out more towards the end which I think is due to the jar being used but apart from that it checked all boxes. The high was really nice and packed a solid punch which I liked and dabbed smooth and clean with no harshness or discomfort.

If you don’t know Trichome Tortoise, he is a grower and hash maker based in California who started growing in 2009 and started the brand in 2019. Many people know him for his staple strain Ze Boof, which gained a lot of hype for its crazy purple sand like appearance caused by anthocyanins, it also won three times at Ego Clash in the ice water hash category. He is also the first hash maker to place 1st and 2nd place three years consecutively at Ego Clash and place top three in 26 hash competitions around the world. Some of his standout achievements include his first major placement where he took 2nd at Ego Clash 2022 with Super Boof, 1st place in both ice water hash and hash rosin at Full Moon Sesh LA 2023 with Ze Boof, 1st place in ice water hash at Ego Clash 2023 with Ze Boof, 1st place in ice water hash at Ego Clash 2024 again with Ze Boof, and this Mike’s GMO, which placed 3rd at the Caribbean Cup in 2024.

Shoutout to Trichome Tortoise. This one was a nice flavorful jar and was easily my favorite out of the two I tried from the drop. I probably wouldn't grab it again as it's not something super unique that makes me wanna double back on but it's a really good jar and I’d happily dab again and recommend to others especially those that like Moroccan Peaches.
